Jack Art

Born into a family of classical musicians, Parisian singer-songwriter Jack Art turned to the guitar in his teens, drawn to the richness of American and British music. His songwriting follows in the tradition of Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Jackson Browne and John Mellencamp: narrative-driven songs shaped by memorable characters, emotional landscapes and a distinctly European perspective.

After playing in local bands in Reims, Jack moved to London, where he formed One Step Up and performed in pubs. Returning to France in the mid-1990s, he founded the power trio Dust, playing more than 400 concerts across the country and releasing the self-produced album Different Roads in 1999.

Following a break devoted to family and professional life, Jack returned to music with The Life and Times of Candy Rose in 2017. Recorded with The Jack Art Band, the ambitious concept album introduced a cast of intertwined characters and marked the beginning of a more cinematic approach to songwriting.

In 2020, he released The Outsider, a stripped-back and deeply personal album written in New York and recorded primarily with piano, guitar and voice. The album received widespread critical acclaim, with Rolling Stone France describing Jack Art as a “powerful songwriter”. In July 2024, he opened for Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes at La Cigale in Paris.

Jack then returned to the energy of collective performance, forming The Time Keepers to bring his songs to life on stage. Together, they recorded Grand Hotel, an 18-track double concept album produced by his son, Pablo Jacquart. Set in a century-old luxury hotel somewhere in North America, the album explores the intersecting lives of its residents, employees and passing guests.

Blending heartland rock, classic rock and Americana, Jack Art creates organic, cinematic music rooted in storytelling and human experience. Grand Hotel will be released on December 11, 2026.
